Joanna Girdner

Joanna Girdner Profile PictureOriginally a native Californian, I moved to Ohio in 1983. I started part time for Dr. Fojas in 2003 as his chairside assistant. This is where I developed a growing love for dentistry and was nurtured and encouraged by Dr. Fojas, staff, and friends to take classes to receive specific certifications to restore teeth. I completed my training at The Ohio State University in 2009 and received an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) certification from the Ohio Dental Board. As such I can place restorative white and silver fillings. I’m dedicated to the same TLC and aesthetics as the Doctor, and fully enjoy my career. I also received coronal polish certification while studying at OSU. After some kicking and screaming, Dr. Fojas donated his time at the EFDA Clinic and I restored three of HIS teeth. The running joke at the office is that I slapped him around the EFDA clinic to make sure he was numb.
